Dynasty Football Players To Stash For 2024 - Fantasy Six Pack (2024)

This is the time of year when half of your dynasty league mates are letting their guard down after a grueling 17 weeks of fantasy football. This means there is a chance there are guys on waivers who are ideal dynasty football players to stash for 2024.

Outside of hitting on a draft pick, having a free agent acquisition or trade throw-in turn into a fantasy-relevant option is one of the things that can boost rebuilding teams into contention the fastest.

It’s important to remember that the majority of these guys likely won’t turn into fantasy superstars next season, but the upside is worth taking a flier on at their current costs just in case they do. I am using Sleeper’s Dynasty League roster percentages throughout the article.

You can see where we have them ranked in our dynasty rankings as well.

Deep League Stashes

Elijah Higgins, TE, Cardinals (11% Rostered)

It's important to remember that Higgins is a college WR who converted to TE when looking at the final numbers of his rookie season.

After sitting out the first six games, Higgins played at least 25% of the snaps and caught a pass in every game from week 11 to 17 while operating as the TE2 behind Trey McBride.

Josh Whyle, TE, Titans (13%)

While Chig Okonkwo is the Titans TE that most fantasy GMs want, backup Josh Whyle has a chance to provide low-end TE2 value if the offense can take a step forward in year two with Will Levis under center.

Whyle is 6’7” and has the movement skills that should allow him to develop into an effective option in the Red Zone in years two and three.

Malik Heath, WR, Packers (15%)

One of the biggest fantasy stories of the year has been the emergence of Jordan Love and the Packers passing game. I want as many pieces of it as possible, especially on the cheap.

A lot needs to go right for Heath to become fantasy-relevant as he is buried on the depth chart when everyone is healthy, but he’s been productive when called upon, catching 12 of his 20 targets for 116 yards and a TD through Week 17.

Jason Brownlee, WR, Jets (21%)

Brownlee is 6’2” and looks like he could be a nice depth option that can play on the outside.

Brownlee was earning praise from Aaron Rodgers in training camp and the preseason, and we all know earning Rodgers's trust can sometimes be the biggest factor in carving out a role in the offense when he’s under center.

10/12 Team Stashes

Xavier Gibson, WR, Jets (38%)

The Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb experiment was unlikely to succeed anyway, but it was doomed once Aaron Rodgers went down in Week 1. The bright side is it allowed UDFA Xavier Gibson to get real playing time in the second half of the season.

Gibson caught 20 of his 33 targets for 225 yards and gets an extra boost in leagues that score return yards (743 combined Kick/Punt Return Yards).

Andrei Iosivas (36%) and Charlie Jones (40%), WR, Bengals

The Bengals offense will bounce back in a big way in 2024 with Joe Burrow back healthy and under center. Both Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are free agents which could open the door for Iosivas and Jones to battle it out for the WR2 & WR 3 roles behind Ja’Marr Chase.

Iosivas is my preferred buy of the two, as he brought in 10 of 18 targets for 80 yards and two scores. Jones had 221 punt return yards, so he is a nice stash for leagues that reward points for that.

Daniel Bellinger, TE, Giants (44%)

Bellinger became an afterthought in the Giants' offense after the acquisition of Darren Waller, but he is in a prime opportunity for a third-year breakout in a Giants offense that lacks weapons on the outside.

Through two seasons, he has been ultra-efficient, catching 55 of a total of 63 targets for 523 yards (9.5 yards per catch) and two TDs.

Tyler Scott, WR, Bears (44% Rostered)

While the Bears are in a great spot to add a high-level WR this offseason. As it currently stands, D.J. Moore, Velus Jones, and Tyler Scott are the only other Bears WRs under contract for the 2025 season.

Scott finished with 156 on 16 catches and showed enough as a rookie that he should have a secondary role in the offense no matter what happens this offseason.

Probably rostered, but still under 70%

Hendon Hooker, QB, Lions (67%)

I loved Hooker’s college tape and am okay with stashing him for a few seasons to see if he falls into a starting job at some point.

GMs that stashed Jordan Love during his first few seasons were rewarded this year, and the cost to acquire Hooker is cheaper than it ever was for Love.

Evan Hull, RB, Colts (59%)

Evan Hull got injured after two touches this season but was the most accomplished pass catcher in last year’s rookie class.

Jonathan Taylor is the Colts' workhorse RB, but Hull’s skillset positions him perfectly to carve out a role on passing downs to complement Taylor.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Commanders (62% Rostered)

Rodriguez and Brian Robinson Jr. are the only RBs under contract for the 2025 season.

The Commanders' new ownership group could hit the reset and turn over a large portion of the roster this offseason, but they have so many team needs that I can’t imagine they invest a ton of assets in the RB position, so Rodriguez should have a role in a committee for 2025 at minimum.
