Kamen Rider Revice (series) (2024)

Kamen Rider Revice (仮面ライダーリバイス Kamen Raidā Ribaisu) is the 3rd TV series in the Reiwa era and the 33rd TV series overall. It will premiere on September 5, 2021 and replace Kamen Rider Saber in the Super Hero Time block, joining Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.

Synopsis^[1][]

The Igarashi family, who runs the public bath "Shiawase Yu", is a very ordinary family. The eldest son Ikki is a hot man, with a strong sense of justice and care. Occasionally from before, he felt like he could hear a strange "demon whisper" from inside himself, but he passed through without being particularly caught. The most important thing for Ikki was his family, and Shiawase Yu where families and people of the city gathered. But, the current problem is that Shiawase Yu is being forced to evict due to a request for urban redevelopment. One day, Ikki and the others suddenly, encounter the attack of a monster army led by the Deadmans! Ikki notices the existence of a demon that dwelt in his body from the heart of wanting to protect what's important, and listens to that whisper for the first time. And, with the spirit of "controlling poison with poison" he signs a contract with the demon Vice, and transforms into a Kamen Rider――.

Production[]

Production of a 50th anniversary series was confirmed by Shinichiro Shirakura during the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary press conference that was held on April 3, 2021.^[8]

On May 24, 2021, Toei Company registered the Kamen Rider Revice trademark.^[9] The logo trademark was registered on July 5, 2021.^[10]

On June 20, 2021, Kamen Rider Revi and Vice, the two protagonists of the series, were revealed through the main visual of Saber + Zenkaiger: Superhero Senki.

On July 22, 2021, a press conference for the series was announced to be held on July 27, 2021, while the main cast was also announced to be Kentaro Maeda, Subaru Kimura, Wataru Hyuga, Ayaka Imoto, and Hayata Seki. Movie Edition: Kamen Rider Revice, a short film for the series, was also announced to have been released in theaters alongside Superhero Senki.^[11]

In the press conference, more cast members were announced, including Yui Asakura, Kurodo Hachijoin, Junya Komatsu, Kazuya Tanabe, Tomoya Oku, Yutaka Saigoh, Toshihiro Yashiba, Kurara Emi, and Shigeyuki Totsugi. Hanta Kinosh*ta was announced to write the series, while Takayuki Shibasaki would direct and Kotaro Nakagawa would compose. The opening theme titled "liveDevil" was announced to be performed by a collaboration of dance group Da-iCE and Subaru Kimura.

The series will premiere on September 5, 2021.
