Travis Scott making money from his arrest by selling merch with his mugshot on (2024)

Kylie Jenner’s ex Travis Scott is already selling merch with his mugshot on, hours after his arrest in Miami.

The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was taken into custody at Miami-Dade County Jail early this morning after an incident on the city’s marina.

He was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing – and is already raking it in from the situation, shortly after his release.

In the shop section of his website, the dad-of-two is now selling a Free the Rage T-shirt complete with his mugshot in the middle, and ‘It’s Miami’ written underneath.

The official police report stated this was something he told officers after his arrest.

If you fancy owning a piece of mugshot history, the tops are on sale for $35 and will be shipped out in a week.

Police documents seen by PA news agency show that officers responded to a disturbance on a yacht where they observed the rapper yelling at those on the vessel.

TMZ claimed Scott was arguing with a person on a yacht and they instructed officers to remove the rapper.

He initially complied with officers warning him to leave the premises before he returned after five minutes and disregarded officers’ commands for him not to go back.

The complaint/arrest affidavit added that officers could ‘sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant’s breath’ and he was told to leave the dock or he would be arrested.

The document added that the defendant later admitted to drinking alcohol and stated: ‘It’s Miami.’

Metro.co.uk understands Scott attended a ‘rowdy party’ although no one was involved in any physical altercation. He was bailed out and is already home.

A statement to the PA news agency from the Miami Beach Police Department said: ‘The Miami Beach Police Department confirms the arrest of Mr Jacques Webster, DOB 4/30/1991, on June 20, 2024, at approximately 1.44 a.m.

‘Mr Webster was taken into custody following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina located at 300 Alton Road.’

After his arrest, it is understood he paid a $650 (£512) bond, comprising $500 (£394) for the trespass charge and $150 (£118) for disorderly intoxication.

Shortly after Scott’s arrest was reported, he wrote on X: ‘Lol.’ The performer also photoshopped sunglasses and headphones on his mugshot and shared the image on his Instagram Stories.

The reports come after after claims he was involved in a ‘brawl’ with Tyga and his pal, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, in Cannes.

The pair, who both dated The Kardashians star Kylie, reportedly had a spat in the DJ booth at Richie Akiva’s annual afterparty, according to multiple US reports.

Sources toldTMZthat Scott approached Tyga’s security team with threats before storming off stage, and returning with his friend, Southside – who began fighting with music executive AE.

Footage shared by the publication suggested that the fight centred on Scott and AE. It is not clear what caused the fracas.

Last year, Scott expressed his ‘devastation’ around the Astroworld tragedy in a rare statement.

In November, 2021,10 concertgoers died and many more were injuredwhen a crowd surged forward as the Sicko Mode musician took to the stage at his festival in Houston.

Hundreds of lawsuits were filedagainstthe 32-year-old,as well as promoters Live Nation and others involved in the event – but it waslater ruled that he would not be indicted, and that ‘no single individual was criminally responsible’ for the tragedy.

In a November interview, Scott revealed he was not in a good place after the order, suffering ‘rough months’.

‘Making music, you think about things that go on in life and things that happen in your life, and you dial in on things,’ he toldGQ.

‘That moment for families, for the city, it was devastating. And when it came to making, like even finishing the album…I got back into it probably like, I don’t know, months and months and months after.’

When asked how he felt after the tragedy, Scott replied: ‘I mean I was just overly devastated.

‘It has its moments where it gets rough and…yeah. You just feel for those people. And their families.

‘I always think about it. Those fans were like my family. I love my fans to the utmost.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Scott’s rep and Miami-Dade County Police for comment.
